Types of Appliances
Conventional Braces
Conventional braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets, usually made of steel, and archwires
which are adjusted to align your smile in the healthiest position.
|
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are worn just like conventional metal braces, but unlike metal braces
they blend with the color of the teeth for a less noticeable appearance. Ceramic braces are harder than
metal braces, work just as effectively, and will not stain.
|
The SPEED System™
SPEED System braces are miniaturized, self-ligating brackets which are smaller and less noticeable than conventional
brackets. SPEED brackets produce beautiful, precise results in a highly controlled fashion. Adjustment appointments are shorter
in duration and keeping the appliances clean tends to be easier than with other types of fixed braces.

Invisalign®
Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear
removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. You wear each set of aligners for
about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in
the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final
position. Ask Dr. Sperber if Invisalign is right for you!
